Last year, The Ice Village came to Manchester for the very first time. Nestled amongst the atmospheric Christmas markets, which are now officially open for their twentieth year, it made for an Instagram dream and added an extra layer of Christmas charm to our city.
I‘ve been a fan of ‘Queer Eye’ since the very beginning and, after meeting Tan France in Manchester earlier this year, my love for the Fab Five has been amplified. My fellow fans will undoubtedly be knee-deep in the newly released ‘Queer Eye: We’re in Japan’ special as we speak. I smashed through all four episodes last night and yes, I ugly cried through at least two of them.

Gin has seen a huge surge in popularity in the past few years, with many people opting for a G&T over any other tipple, and I’m no exception. Before discovering the delights of juniper, I was a loyal ‘spiced rum and ginger’ kind of girl so when I noticed that Belfast-based distillers Jawbox Gin had a gin and ginger recipe on their website, my interest was piqued.
It’s become somewhat of a tradition that Adam and I go on a weekend break when the leaves begin to drop, the nights get colder and our wedding anniversary rolls around every October. We also made a vow to go somewhere at least once a year that we’ve never been before so, a couple of weeks ago, we celebrated three years as Mr and Mrs Valentine in Krakow, Poland.
